Making a 3D Quilt For Blue Lagoon Tumbling Blocks

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 400 Series | Episode 408

Fons & Porter love to make stream quilts which are made with strips of all types of fabrics. It uses fabrics that you like, ones you weren’t sure about, and ones that you haven’t thought of using before. It is a great way to use up scraps in the Blue Lagoon quilt which is what they will be making in this episode.

This is a wonderful 3D quilt. You will learn:

  • How to choose fabric to achieve a 3D look
  • How to cut equilateral triangles with 60 degree diamonds
  • How to assemble this 3D quilt with no set in seams

  1. I am disappointed in something. I subscribe to your electronic ebooks and had seen a free download for Blue Lagoon. went out and bought the special rulers to cut the 60 degree pieces and got my fabric all cut – now I cannot seem to get the pieces together 0 your instructions are quite vague ” assemble the rows” neither the ruler instructions or the quilt instructions are very good at what needs to hang over, what to line up with what? I tried to go on here to see the video and now you want more money to be able to see the video to show me how to assemble this? Help me!!
