Make Diamond Quilt Units & Winter Star: Part 1

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 500 Series | Episode 503

Quilting methods have changed over the years. When Liz Porter made her first patchwork quilt, she had to make her templates out of a cereal box. Now we have these wonderful acrylic templates that allow us to cut all types of fabric shapes with the rotary cutter.

In the video, you will learn:

  • How to cut diamond fabric pieces
  • How to join diamonds into a star
  • How to prepare for setting pieces around the star

You can watch part 2 of this series here.

Project instructions are in the Nov/Dec 04 issue of Love of Quilting magazine.
