Painted Quilts with Decorative Stitching

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting | 1200 Series | Episode 1212

Susan Fears joins the program to discuss an unusual painted quilt block with decorative stitching. She used a paint stick to paint her squares, added decorative stitching, and then added the borders with machine quilting.

To start the project you lay out the grid for the squares to fit in and place the ridged stencil design behind the fabric squares. With the grid laid out, use the paint sticks to color in the square. One the whole fabric is painted, you can then move onto the quilting.
