On this 1700 series of Love of Quilting, Marianne and Mary Fons, discuss a very interesting quilt made by Dianne Thomlinson. She took a Japanese quilting class at a quilt shop a year ago. She usually does traditional things, and she got very interested into a whole different style with various techniques.
She researched and looked around for projects to continue with, and found this really neat book, “Quilted Elegance,” by a Korean quilter Rami Kim, and she was looking through it and found (among other techniques) this woven technique that Rami Kim uses in her many different projects, and Dianne just loved the way she had done this woven…she made a bigger piece of fabric from smaller pieces of fabric.
