tool is too thin. You should watch Quilt in a Day. Much easier to put line from corner to corner and then sew out a quarter of a in down both sides and then cut on line . Your tool would be too hard to hold onto.

This is the very best way to make half and quarter square triangles. You never have to fuss with matching up two triangles to make squares.
